Bayonetta Platinum!
Posted by marcsart in Video Games on February 12, 2011
Today I acquired the platinum trophy for Bayonetta on the PS3. What a great freaking game. The combat is amazingly deep, over the top and there are some awesome weapons to find and use. There is so much to do in this game, I have platinumed it and there are still a ton of hidden things for me to unlock and complete.
If you want to platinum this game, your steepest task will be completing it on Non-Stop Climax difficulty. Here’s some advice for anyone attempting this difficulty mode:
- Stock up on green lollipops during your hard playthrough
- Don’t buy Red-Hot Shots, they will just be wasted.
- Make sure you get the Evil Harvest Rosary. It will make Non-Stop Climax mode much easier and is a good strategy in general for many of the bosses, including Jeanne. I primarily used this in comination with the Eternal Testimony.
- If you are having trouble with Jeanne, use the Evil Harvest Rosary with the Moon of Mahaa-Kalaa to stop her if she starts to combo on you.
- I wasted a lot of time getting my play-time under 3 hours to get the Bracelet of Time, but I found it to be entirely useless in Non-Stop Climax mode. It simply does not give you enough Witch Time to justify the huge magic cost, you are much better off using the same amount of magic on torture attacks or wicked weave attacks.
- Durga/Durga combo all the way.
Anway, I really enjoyed this game. It has an old-school Devil May Cry vibe but is very unique in it’s own way too. I’m really looking forward to Platinum Games’ next beat-em-up game, Anarchy Reigns.
The Music and Art of Glenn Robinson
My good friend Glenn Robinson has just launched his new site, The Music and Art of Glenn Robinson (I can’t bring myself to say it’s terrible lol). Glenn is a very gifted artist and musician, you’re going to want to check back to this site often.
Underground Cavern
Posted by marcsart in Finished Artwork on April 10, 2012
Added some color to this ‘underground cavern’ piece. I went for a greenish, unnatural looking color for the rock to try to create a sense of unease in the viewer. A light source emanating from the center of the rock formation suggests a sense of mystery. Where is the light coming from? Is there someone down there? Comments and critiques welcomed and encouraged!
